At Celling Treatment Centers we use state-of-the-art stem cell processing to isolate and concentrate patient's own stem cells for their immediate application in combination with our minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of joint problems and spine problems.

Day of Procedure

All treatments are performed in compliance with the latest technological and medical standards. The risks are no different from the risks normally associated with surgical procedures. 

Stem cell therapy involves the use of a patient's own cells, so there is no risk of rejection. Most procedures are performed on an out-patient basis.

Bone Marrow Extraction

After sedation by a board certified anesthesiologist, the bone marrow is harvested from the hip bone. This portion of the procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and requires only a small incision over the hip bone. A local anesthetic is provided for control of any discomfort and only a small gauze or band-aid is required for dressing.

Stem Cell Preparation

Once the bone marrow has been harvested, the process of isolating and concentrating the stem cells begins in the operating room.

Using state-of-the-art stem cell processing equipment, the stem cells are isolated from the bone marrow using using centrifugation technology.

A second procedure then washes the stem cells.

Finally, the stem cells are concentrated for maximum effectiveness and readied for implantation.

Implantation of Stem Cells

The region of stem cell implantation depends on the patient's condition. Currently, we offer implantation into:

• Degenerative disc disease or painful spine discs
• Joint arthritis not responsive to conventional therapies
• Chronic joint swelling
• Chronic tendon and ligament injuries
• Direct implantation during one of our BioSurgery procedures

After the Procedure

Most patients who receive stem cell treatments return home after a couple hours.

If the stem cells were implanted during a minimally invasive out-patient surgery procedure, the patient typically returns home within 24 hours if they are not from the Austin area.

We provide 24 hour physician coverage should any questions arise after a procedure.
