Stem Cell Therapy

Stem Cell Therapy for Spine Arthritis, Disc Pain, Degenerating Discs and Facet Arthritis

RegenaDISC Procedure - for disc pain and spine arthritis relief

Stem cells have the remarkable ability to down-regulate inflammation and regenerate tissue affected by aging or injury. These properties of stem cells form the basis for our spine stem cell therapy.

For spine problems, we offer several programs to reduce spine inflammation and facilitate healing of painful spine conditions:

  • Spine Arthritis Treatment - lumbar arthritis, neck arthritis, facet arthritis, degenerative disc disease
  • Disease Management - Disc pain, facet arthritis, SI joint pain, nerve inflammation
  • Spine BioSurgery - in conjunction with laser spine surgery and endoscopic spine surgery
  • Spine Disc Regeneration - introducing the RegenaDISC procedure

Spine Arthritis Treatment

Spine arthritis affects millions of patients in North America. The level of pain is manageable by many with regular exercise and over-the-counter (OTC) medications. Others require prescription medications that are generally well tolerated.

Unfortunately, many others either do not respond to medications and therapy or develop side-effects from the medications that prevent patients from taking them. At Celling Treatment Centers, we offer stem cell therapy for those patients seeking alternatives to these common treatments.

Our stem cell treatments for spine arthritis can reduce inflammation and pain in the facet joints, spine disc and around inflamed spine nerves.

Disease Management

Most patients only require a single application of stem cells to treat their spine arthritis pain. For those with recurrent pain, we recommend a disease management program to treat spine arthritis chronic pain.

Our spine arthritis disease management program provides annual or semi-annual injections of stem cells to relieve disc pain and pain in the facet joints or around inflamed nerves. And, unlike epidural steroid injections, patients are not limited in the number of injections of their own natural stem cells that they can receive.

Spine BioSurgery

Our BioSurgery program provides the additional anti-inflammatory and tissue healing capacity of mesenchymal stem cells after one of our minimally invasive laser spine surgery or endoscopic spine surgery procedures.

Applying stem cells after minimally invasive laser spine surgery or endoscopic spine surgery can down-regulate the natural inflammation that occurs after any surgery. The anti-inflammatory effects of stem cells can limit the amount of inflammation and thus the amount of scar tissue that forms in the spinal canal, spine disc or around a spine nerve.

Scar tissue in the spine is termed epidural fibrosis and can result in back pain or nerve pain. At Celling Treatment Centers, we do everything possible to give patients the opportunity for a great outcome - including stem cell therapy.

Spine BioSurgery can also be very effective after removal of a herniated disc because disc herniation is a sign of disc wear and injury. Treating the disc at this early stage can reduce the likelihood of continued disc degeneration and a lifetime of painful spine arthritis. When stem cell therapy is combined with herniated disc treatment, a direct repair of the hole in the disc is performed. Disc repair is critical to assuring the stem cells remain in the disc after surgery. Spine Disc Regeneration

The spine disc is a naturally difficult environment to treat because of a poor blood supply and natural cell depletion that begins at approximately 4 years of age in humans.

For the last one year, our Chief Surgeon & Medical Director has been working with three medical device and biologic companies to introduce spine disc regeneration therapy.

We are very proud to introduce our spine disc regeneration procedure - RegenaDISC - to patients with degenerative disc disease. This proprietary procedure is designed to reduce spine disc pain from degenerative disc disease and introduce stem cells to reduce disc inflammation and facilitate disc regeneration.

Our unique RegenaDISC protocol requires patients to comply with a reasonable but very specific exercise program designed to facilitate proteoglycan synthesis - the spongy gel inside the spine disc - and a smoking cessation program.

The RegenaDISC procedure is only available at Celling Treatment Centers.
